Coat: Thick and dense and weather-resistant. Can be black, yellow or chocolate brown. A small white marking on the chest is permissible.
Character: This breed is obedient, sociable, affectionate, and loyal. They have a very keen sense of smell.
Temperament: This dog gets along well with children, other dogs, and any household pets. They are not great watchdogs.
Care: Brush the coat once a week, twice weekly if the dog is shedding.
Training: The Labrador Retriever learns very quickly and loves to work for its handler.
Activity: Although they will adapt to the exercise habits of your family, Labrador Retievers need plenty of exercise. They need to be taken on long walks, and especially love to take part in field sports.
